Jefo specialists and partners gathered for commercial and technical events in South Asia
Jefo continues to maximize its presence in South Asia as part of its strategic planning. Operating in the region for over 20 years, the company brought members of the technical team to share their knowledge with current and potential partners in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
The initial destination of the journey was Dhaka, Bangladesh, where the Canadian company held the 1st Jefo South Asian Animal Nutrition Seminar on January 16th with the presence of the Honourable Benoit Prefontaine, High Commissioner of Canada in Bangladesh, and Mr. Rakibur Rahman, President of the Breeder Association of Bangladesh. Mr. Jean Fontaine, Jefo’s President, insured his presence with a special video that was presented during the opening speech. Then, Dr. Subhash Chandra Das, Professor at Bangladesh Agriculture University and Jefo’s technical specialists Jean-Christophe Bodin (I&D Director), Glenmer Tactacan (Poultry Technical Specialist), Abdallah Zankar (Global Technical Manager Ruminant) and Dr. Kabir Chowdhury (Global Technical Manager Aquaculture) discussed about the use of antibiotics; cost optimization for poultry feed; gut health management; and challenges, opportunities and solutions on global dairy feed to a very interested audience of 120 professionals.
Then, on January 21st and 22nd, the Jefo team travelled to Negombo, Sri Lanka, where they welcomed guests from 5 nationalities for the 1st Jefo South Asian Partners Meeting. This multi-specie event presented the most recent advancements in animal nutrition, including subjects of interest for the poultry, swine, dairy and aquaculture industries. “We attend many trade shows, scientific meetings and conferences in the region and worldwide. However, by holding our own technical events, we are able to further strengthen our relationships and allow our partners to discover the Jefo Experience. We can provide much more information and promote qualified networking opportunities to the attendees,” said Mr. Bodin.
Finally, from January 25th to the 27th, Jefo attended Nepal Agritech 2019, Nepal’s largest exhibition on agriculture, farm machinery, dairy, poultry, livestock, farm equipment and new technologies. The event was held at the Chitwan Expo Center in Bharatpur and served a country where approximately 66% of the population is involved in agriculture, an industry that represents 31.7% of the national GDP.
Jefo’s solutions are specie-specific and integrate programs designed for each production phase: Jefo Care – for Health, Jefo Peak – for Performance & Production, and Jefo Cycle – for Reproduction. The Jefo Matrix Technology promotes targeted release of active ingredients in the digestive tract of animals.
“We realized that, in addition to the quality of our products, the customers appreciated the excellence of our services. Everything we do is based on our Applied Scientific Curiosity and our commitment Life, made easier,” says Mr. Fontaine.
