Dr. Mohamed Osman & Dr. Abdallah Zankar
Dr. Mohamed Osman was born in Cairo in 1968. In 1990, he graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Cairo University. In 1991, he started working for Dina farms, the largest farm in Egypt & Africa, where he became Livestock Director and CEO consultant. In 2010, he received his M.Sc. degree in Surgery, Anesthesia and Radiology with the thesis “Mandatory Surgical Interferences Associated with Feeding Disorders in Dairy Cattle.”
In 2019, he obtained his Ph.D. degree and, in 2020, he proudly found the La Vache Consultancy group.
Dr. Abdallah Zankar is currently the Global Technical Manager for ruminants at Jefo Nutrition Inc., and the sales Director for the Middle East and Turkey. From Moscow State Academy he, received his doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1993 and his Master’s degree in Dairy Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1995. During his career – Managing big herds for around 15 years, Dr. Abdallah has realized that the dairy industry is experiencing high turnover rates and increasing the productive life of a cow is one of the ideal ways to outweigh the expenditures needed. So, his first task was to improve cow longevity as well as increasing her efficiency. Improving longevity cannot happen without a strict herd health management, therefore Dr. Abdallah worked on improving gut integrity thus, resulting in reduction in antibiotic use, healthier herd with lower culling rates, lowered veterinary costs and less impact on the environment.
