Jefo Europe Celebrated its 25th Anniversary on June 9
On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, Jefo Europe brought together 250 stakeholders in animal nutrition from 24 different countries from Europe and other continents. They embarked on the first flight of the Jefo European Agency at Château de la Poterie near Nantes, with the common goal of reaching for the stars together!
The flight began with a welcome speech from Jean Fontaine, President of the Jefo Group, and Jérôme Fouquet, CEO of Jefo Europe. Emilie Fontaine, Vice President of Brands and Products, and Jean-François Fontaine, Vice President, then took the participants on a journey through time, presenting Jefo’s adventure: its past, present, and anticipated vision of the company.
The leaders highlighted the key elements that will enable Jefo to continue its mission: to imagine, develop, and share the next era of precision nutrition, emphasizing the central role given to customer listening at all levels of the company. They also announced massive investments, including in the new plant in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, which will increase the production of Jefo Matrix microencapsulated products from 10,000 tons per year to 70,000 tons per year, as well as in management systems aimed at supporting the company’s growth. “We are implementing the necessary means to continue meeting the needs of our customers and making Life, made easier,” said Emilie Fontaine.
Then, Michel Tognini, former head of the European Astronaut Centre, took the audience on a completely different adventure, the journey into space. He talked about the opportunity he seized, beyond hard work, to fulfill his dream and live in such a challenging and demanding universe! During this conference, Mr. Tognini emphasized the importance of placing personal qualities and the human aspect at the core of the recruitment process, especially in extreme working conditions.
“For our 25th anniversary, we wanted to highlight the human values that are dear to us at Jefo,” stated Jérôme Fouquet. “The experience of Michel Tognini and his speech on teamwork, diversity, and multiculturalism seemed like the obvious choice to celebrate this anniversary.” It was a meaningful conference that set the tone for the rest of the day.
The afternoon continued with an unforgettable space mission to discover artists from different universes. It was a beautiful day of exploration that fostered exchanges and sharing among actors in animal nutrition from different countries and cultures.
